Pick's Disease is rare and difficult to differentiate from Alzheimer's. In the beginning stages of Pick's disease, personality changes such as the loss of inhibitions, confabulation, and silliness minimize the loss of intellectual ability. This is not so with Alzheimer's disease where cognitive alterations are evident even in the early stages.
